SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Director of Supplier Success is responsible for building, optimizing, and scaling a world class supplier engagement and performance ecosystem. This role ensures that strategic supplier partnerships deliver sustained value, innovation, operational excellence, and risk managed outcomes. The Director will design and lead governance frameworks, enable strong relationship management, and drive alignment across commercial, operational, and executive stakeholders. This role works cross-functionally with Supplier Operations, Client Services, Implementations, Business Intelligence, Product Management, Business Development, Legal, and Risk, to elevate the performance, resilience, and long-term value delivered by the supplier network.
DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS (each duty and function listed indicates % of time to total 100%):
- Supplier Segmentation & Engagement Strategy – 20%
- Identify and classify strategic vs. tactical suppliers based on business criticality, financials, risk, and growth potential for each client program and across programs.
- Define supplier engagement tiers and tailor governance models accordingly.
- Develop scalable frameworks for onboarding, performance management, and ongoing collaboration.
- Governance & Cadence Management
- Establish and run structured supplier governance programs - 15%

- Maintain and optimize escalation paths, decision-making structures, and cross functional engagement models.
- Ensure a consistent, repeatable cadence across all strategic suppliers.

- Program Expansion and Business Development Support – 15%
- Participate in the creation of proposals by providing supplier related expertise and analytics
- Join sales presentations to prospective clients

- Commercial & Contract Alignment – 10%
- Partner with legal, procurement, and finance to ensure pricing models, incentives, SLAs, and contractual terms reinforce desired performance and strategic outcomes.
- Review and work with the legal team to adjust contracts to encourage collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Risk & Resilience Management – 10%
- Monitor concentration risk, business continuity, cybersecurity posture, regulatory compliance, and operational performance across the supplier portfolio.
- Maintain risk assessments and mitigation plans for key suppliers.
- Partner with internal risk and compliance teams to design initiative-taking controls and resilience strategies.
- Innovation & Value Creation – 10%
- Lead co innovation workshops and facilitate supplier contributions to roadmap alignment, technology advancement, and process improvements.
- Develop frameworks for joint investment opportunities and measurable value creation initiatives.
- Track and communicate realized value, innovations, and market differentiation driven through supplier partnerships.
- Provide executive-level reporting on supplier value, risk insights, fiscal impact, and roadmap progress.
- Drive accountability and continuous improvement initiatives across the supplier ecosystem.
- Relationship & Stakeholder Management – 20%
- Cultivate trust-based, strategic partnerships with suppliers built on transparency, shared goals, and clear communication norms.
- Define and maintain roles, responsibilities, and decision rights for both internal and supplier-side teams.
- Implement and run executive alignment programs including sponsor-to-sponsor touchpoints and joint prioritization sessions.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The primary duties of this position are performance and execution of business requirements of the Company. This position’s primary duties include the exercise of discretion and independent judgement with respect to matters of significance.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- 10+ years in workforce management, contingent labor, MSP/RPO programs, supplier management, or talent supply chain leadership.
- Proven experience leading large, diverse staffing supplier and services procurement supplier networks across industries and job families.
- Strong background in governance frameworks, commercial negotiations, and operational performance metrics.
- Experience optimizing commercial models for contingent labor, including rate strategies, incentive structures, and contract negotiations.
- Experience in risk management—operational, financial, cyber, and regulatory.
- Demonstrated success leading innovation initiatives or co development programs with suppliers or partners.
- Exceptional communication, facilitation, and executive level presentation skills.
- Ability to influence cross functional teams and lead through both authority and partnership.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to build insights-driven reporting and supplier scorecards.

COMPUTER/SYSTEM SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
Working knowledge of computers including Windows environments, email, and the internet. Proficiency with MS Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project and Visio. Ability to quickly learn AgileOne proprietary technology.
